Tattoo Aftercare

These are my recommended instructions for tattoo aftercare. Please follow them as strictly as possible during the healing process, but remember that everyone heals differently and results may vary depending on tattoo size and also how much needlework had been done, particularly packing large areas. Different colour ink can also vary in how a tattoo heals.

STEP 1:

Remove the cling film wrap after 1.5 hours. Do NOT leave it on longer.

Immediately clean your tattoo in a warm shower, using your regular shower gel. Rub the tattoo firmly with your palm in circular motions to remove any surface blood and ink.

Pat your tattoo dry and apply a THIN layer of INKEEZE GEL rubbing it in gently and well.

Let the tattoo air dry. Try to avoid covering it with clothing where possible for a few hours.

STEP 2:

For the next week or so, wash your tattoo every morning in the same way as above, taking care to remove surface blood and any fibres that may have stuck. with your palm

Pat your tattoo dry and apply a THIN layer of INKEEZE GEL rubbing it in gently and well.

STEP 3:

Once your tattoo begins to develop thick scabbing, continue to wash it every morning and air dry to let it breathe.

DO NOT apply any more gel and STRICTLY no other creams or oils until scabbing has gone.

You will be tempted to itch or pick scabs, but DO NOT. This will pull out ink and leave patches.

STEP 4:

Once your scabbing has gone, there will be a thin shiny layer of skin left to heal. This will disappear after about a week and you will be left with a matte, vibrant, fully healed tattoo and can apply any creams as normal.

NOTES:

I recommend you buy a small bottle of INKEEZE for during your healing.

If you do not strictly follow this care routine and need to get your tattoo touched up because of this, you will be charged a set-up and retouch cost of £25.

JUST REMEMBER. WASH GENTLY, AIR DRY THOROUGHLY, APPLY PRODUCT. ALLOW TO DRY AGAIN.

Never put on clothing that will stick, until its dry. Ink may be lifted off and damage your tattoo. Jersey cotton with fleece back interior is an absolute no no ( joggers, sweatshirts etc) until your tattoo is fully dry. Denim or hard wearing clothing should be avoided completely until your tattoo is fully healed.

DO NOT USE VASELINE or any Petroleum based products or creams as they can clog the pores and suffocate the tattoo healing process.
